About the Artist...

       Melissa Lester enjoys working in the artistic atmosphere of Austin, TX and creating  jewelry that is both beautiful and unique.  She has a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree specializing in jewelry design & fabrication from James Madison University in Virginia and moved to Texas shortly after graduating.  In addition to creating jewelry, Melissa has worked as a muralist and decorative painter, as well as having created commissioned canvas paintings, stained glass, and silk paintings for over ten years.  She does volunteer work as a puppy raiser of future service dogs with Canine Companions for Independence and delivers meals for Meals on Wheels and More weekly.  She has just completed construction of a studio in Austin, TX. 

The inspiration behind Melissa's designs comes from the natural world.  While traveling she discovers the infinite variety of shapes and colors in nature and tries to reproduce that beauty in her work.  We hope you enjoy her jewelry and please return because new designs are appearing all the time!
